Tony Awards 2023: See the full list of winners

CNN

The Tony AwardsHonoring the best of Broadway, the awards were presented Sunday with Oscar winners and Tony Award nominees. Ariana DeBose Host of the event.

DeBose, who hosted the Tony Awards last year, admitted that the event was going without a script due to a strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA).

“Award shows are traditionally written by members of the WGA, so for this show to be a whole, people had to come together to find a compromise,” DeBose noted at the top of the show. “I’m live and unscripted. You’re welcome! So to anyone who felt like the last year was a bit unhinged, to them I say, darling!
