The Ravens extended their lead over the 49ers to four points before halftime, and they made it even bigger early in the third quarter.
Lamar Jackson hit wide receiver Nelson Agholar in the end zone for a six touchdown that extended their lead to 23-12. It was Jackson's first touchdown pass of the night and his 18th of the season.
Jackson rushed for two touchdowns on the night and 19 on the season. The 49ers quarterback's pass ricocheted into the hands of linebacker Patrick Quinn as Ravens defensive lineman Travis Jones threw a handoff for Birdie. Jackson hit Jay Flowers for a nine-yard score on the next play, and the Ravens were now up 30-12.
Jackson helped set up the first score with a pass to running back Gus Edwards, which Edwards converted for a 39-yard gain. That play came after a 23-yard Tyler Wallace punt return turned into a 38-yard pickup due to an unnecessary roughing penalty.
Such calls aren't uncommon, but this one was called for 49ers punter Mitch Wishnowski for a late hit on Wallace. It's rare to see the 49ers get a false score this season, and they'll have to start a lot to prevent that from being the end result.
