The 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards rocked Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday night with a star-studded tribute to Jimmy Buffett and performances by Wynonna Judd, Dan + Shay, Lainey Wilson and more.
“Hard Like a Truck” singer Lainey Wilson dominated the 2023 CMA Awards, taking home five trophies on the night. His first day of success began when the first winners were announced on “Good Morning America.”
Wilson and Hardy performed together for “Wait in the Truck” and were crowned winners for Music Video of the Year.
Later in the night, “Fast Car” singer Tracy Chapman became the first black woman to receive a CMA Award, while country legend Joe Diffie and Judd joined country legend Joe Diffie for a surprise duet of “Pickup Man” with Post Malone Morgan Wallen. Forces Jelly Roll with the new artist of the year.
