Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarm System Update Now Live (Version 2.0.0), Here’s the Full Patch Notes

Instead of a Switch successor, Nintendo announced a new Alarm Clock this week, officially dubbed it.Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo‘.

Now, if that wasn’t enough excitement for a day already, this new device might actually get updates if you missed out. Sleep enthusiasts who were able to purchase one today at the Nintendo New York store can now update it Version 2.0.0.

So, with that in mind, here are the full patch notes for the latest Alarmo update. It adds a new mode option, a new logs feature, includes a few other things and Nintendo is already rolling out stability updates for it! Oh, and here’s how to do this system update:

The system is performing an update

You will receive a notification when a system update is available. Press the notification button when the envelope icon is displayed on the alarmo to view the latest notifications and follow the steps shown to perform the system update.

Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo – Vers. 2.0.0 (released on October 9, 2024)

  • Added “moderate mode” as a new mode option.
  • Added “Movement Record” as a new records feature.
    • If you go to bed during “sleep time”, this will automatically show up in the logs.
    • You can set this on or off in the “Logs” menu on the device.
  • “Distance from bed” can now be set to a maximum of 20in/50cm for queen and king size beds.
  • When “Check Sensor Zone” is enabled, the estimated “Status of Motion” is now displayed.
  • General system stability improvements to improve user experience.
