The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are investigating after a body was found in the water in Largo.

Florida authorities have identified a woman who was found dead after an alligator was found with a body in her mouth.
Authorities responded to a call about a gator in the water around 1:50 p.m. Friday in Largo, in the Tampa Bay area.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office The person killed on Saturday was identified as Sabrina Beckham, 41.
A witness, Jamarcus Bullard, said CNN affiliate Spectrum News 13 He had previously seen a crocodile with its mouth open.
“I could tell he had a body in his mouth, so I started recording,” Bullard said.
Officers humanely euthanized the 13-foot, 8.5-inch male, according to the sheriff’s office and the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Alligators have been seen in the area before, but resident Jennifer Dean told Spectrum News 13 she’s never seen one this big.
“A lot of my neighbors were out here and they told me about the gator,” Dean said. “We were standing here when a shot was heard. I assume they killed Gator.
